Becky Yoder, CPA
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Becky Yoder is chief executive officer of Surrey Satellite Technology US LLC, the U.S. subsidiary of world-leading small satellite manufacturer Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) in the United Kingdom. Becky was named CEO of Surrey US in September 2016 to lead the company in the cultivation of the rapidly growing U.S. market for cost-effective small satellite systems, applications, and services. As CEO, Becky directs the company’s strategic development and operational activities.

In a dual role, Becky continues to serve as the chief financial officer and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial management.
Prior to joining Surrey in 2008 as its first U.S. employee, Becky Yoder served as controller for Lloyd Realty Partners in Dallas and Resolute Investments in Englewood, Colorado. A Certified Public Accountant, she also worked for six years at Arthur Andersen and as CFO for Aslex, a Denver-based process management company. Becky earned her bachelor of science degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University in Denver.

Clare Martin, PhD
Chief Operating Officer

As chief operating officer, Dr. Clare Martin leads the Surrey project management and engineering teams to ensure that Surrey’s low-cost methods, and the benefits they bring, are applied to the execution of programs. She also provides guidance to project managers and engineers, guaranteeing the appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience are incorporated into all areas of the business. Clare supports the Surrey U.S. executive team on the proper bidding, negotiation, and execution of projects.

Clare joined the Surrey U.S. team after serving more than seven years with Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. in the United Kingdom. She brings a thorough knowledge of all Surrey spacecraft and systems and ethos and culture to the U.S. team. She held several positions there including head of telecommunications and navigation and senior project manager. Prior to Surrey, Clare worked at QinetiQ, formerly the Defence Evaluation & Research Agency (DERA), as a project manager and scientist. She earned an M.Sci. in astrophysics and Ph.D. in mathematics and computational sciences, both from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
